Café Tortoni, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Yes, it is a bit of a lure for tourists. They do a Tango evening, they advertise what famous people have been spending time there. This is how I found out that Gombrowicz and Rubinstein were among the guests. The café has been open since about 1858 and it was frequented by many artists since. The culture and creativity seep through every corner.

I must say the Tango evening was great, the food amazing and the atmosphere unforgettable. There is nothing more emotional than Tango music live. Yes, the dancers were fantastic as well, but the songs were the ones piercing through my heart.
