Bella Sky, Copenhagen, Denmark
OK, so it is part of the Marriott family, meaning the prices are not the lowest. It's so worth it thou. Even the basic rooms are amazing – floor-to-ceiling windows. You have everything you need. There is a spa, there is a fitness center and not to be ignored: an airport shuttle. However, one caveat, the hotel is bit away from everything, so you must take the metro to get to the city itself. Irazú Volcano, Costa Rica
It was my first up close and personal with a volcano! One beautiful January day my Costa Rican friends took me on a trip to see this beauty. It's about an hour drive from San José and luckily there is no extensive hiking involved. Although if you wanted to there are some trails you can try out. It is the highest still active volcano in Costa Rica (3432m above sea level!) and the water inside the crater is being watched closely as it apparently changes colour before eruptions.

Inka Trail, Peru
On one hand it’s a walk I’ll never forget. On the other I don’t remember some parts as I got the altitude sickness. At first, I was fine but by the time we got to the highest point of the trek – 4200 meters above the sea level, the (in)famous Dead Woman’s Pass – I was feeling weaker and weaker. There were amazing ruins on the way but I couldn’t get my self to be excited about them. Not until I saw what I always wanted to see, the fabled Machu Picchu. The trail was an amazing

Malbork Castle, Poland
There is a place in Poland that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime - the Malbork castle. It was built by the Knights of the Teutonic Order. It's one of its kind worldwide and of course a UNESCO Heritage Site. You can spend hours there just wandering and I really mean hours. The audio guide by itself takes over four hours. It's an amazing example of medieval architecture and it witnessed centuries of turbulent history. The Teutonic Order didn't find itself t

Arcotels, Stuttgart, Germany and Linz, Austria
I had the pleasure of staying in 2 of the Arcotels. Every single time great service and great rooms. Oh, and great food - mainly Austrian. The price is not the best – bit high for my pocket, but definitely comfortable for any business or leisure trip. Each one of the hotels is individually designed and the creative behind it has always something to do with the area where the hotel is situated. You can even spend some time in your room discovering every little bit of design th
