Getting there was a mission but being there exceeded all expectations. It was my first time so close to the ocean, the Pacific Ocean! The tides did freak my out a bit. Other than that, Montezuma was a little paradise.
I spent almost a year in Costa Rica. That does give you a different perspective on a country and its culture. You're not just a tourist anymore, you share your friend's day to day life. It's an amazing experience, so if you have a similar opportunity, just take it.
