Ales Stenar, Skåne, Sweden
Well this place I can only describe as the Stonehenge of Scandinavia. Just smaller. And nicer. The stones are placed on a beautiful cliff. There are 59 of them standing in a ship-like formation. Probably erected about 1400 years ago.
It’s a perfect place for a day trip. You can have a fantastic picnic, take a walk along the beach or have lunch at one of the restaurants in the little port. As long as you have nice weather, you will have a great day out. Only thing I would say is that if you’re going there by bus keep in mind that they don’t go very often.
